AV Service Technician

Avitecture, Inc. seeks an Audiovisual Service Technician with hardware, software, and component-level AV experience. This position is responsible for providing service and support to audio and video equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, and sound and mixing boards. The technician will work in newly finished and established spaces such as boardrooms, conference rooms, command and control centers, classrooms, offices, theaters, museums, and government facilities in the Washington-Baltimore region.


  • Network, AMX, Crestron, and DSP experience

  • Other audiovisual experience and knowledge of electronics

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex audiovisual systems

  • Ability to work independently and learn quickly

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor both on and off client sites

  • Ability to pass a federal background check

  • Ability to maintain a clean driving record

  • Security Clearance (not required but is a plus)

AV Design Engineer

Avitecture, Inc. seeks an experienced Audiovisual Design Engineer to work in the Design department. This position is responsible for creating bills of materials, statements of work, sales flows and providing client facing documentation and presentations as required. The Design Engineer will create project documentation following Avitecture engineering standards (signal flows and architecturals) and will provide project installation engineering support as needed.


  • 3-5 years with Pre and Post-Sales Commercial AV Design and Engineering

  • Experience with AutoCAD, MS Suite, Bluebeam (Signal Flows, Rack Elevations, Custom Plates, Architectural drawings)

  • Up to date with commercial AV equipment, AVIXA design standards and familiarity with National CAD standards and ADA Guidelines

  • Preferred knowledge with IT principals, AV over IP, Unified Communication Platforms

  • Preferred Design Experience with Video Walls, Production Systems, VTC, Multi-classification Systems, Conference Rooms, Sound masking

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work within deadlines that may dynamically change

  • Ability to think critically and identify potential design issues

  • Ability to work within a team environment, including Sales Consultants, Designers, Field Engineers and Project Managers

  • Ability to create and organize documentation, follow workflows and maintain block libraries

  • Ability to pass a federal background check

  • CTS-D and Clearance Possession is a plus

AV Sales Consultant

Avitecture, Inc. seeks a motivated Sales Consultant to become a key member of our fast-paced, highly successful sales team. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities while nurturing and maintaining current client relationships. The sales consultant will recommend AV solutions to meet their clients’ needs, prepare and deliver proposals, and deliver winning presentations to clients. The sales consultant’s main priority is to identify and fulfill our clients’ needs as immediately as possible.


  • Bachelor’s Degree of similar relevant work experience

  • Two or more years of sales experience

  • A background in audio video systems or electronics

  • A proven track record in capturing new business

  • Ability to recommend and educate clients on current AV technology

  • Ability to set and achieve goals

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced sales environment
